Elise Scheck Bonwitt

Elise is an attorney, Certified Circuit Court mediator, business owner, consultant, coach and speaker. She is the author of More: Get More Out Of Life With Less Complication. Over the past few years, Elise has served as legal counsel to several privately-held companies regarding issues such as employment law and corporate transactions.  She is currently a principal at Scheck Group, a family office.   


Elise has been actively and deeply involved in many non-profit organizations. Currently, she serves as the Board Chair of the Michael-Ann Russell JCC in Miami, a Vice Chair of the Board of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and the Chair of the Youth Mental Health Task Force.  She is also a board member of the National Women’s Philanthropy Board, the Overtown Youth Center and The Women’s Fund, while serving as a Mentor with Women of Tomorrow, working with 30 girls at Miami Lakes Educational Center.  She was the Chair of the Women’s Impact Initiative, President of Women’s Philanthropy, and has served in various capacities with many other organizations.


Elise graduated from University of Miami Law School and Columbia University.  She completed the Executive Program in Social Impact Strategy at the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Miami with her husband, Gil Bonwitt.  They are the proud parents of five children.
